Science Rendezvous Kingston

  May 7th - 22nd

Between May 7 and 22, Science Rendezvous will showcase exciting virtual, hybrid, and in-person events happening across Canada. Live demonstrations, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) shows, and interactive exhibits will be available for free as the kick-off celebration of NSERC’s Science Odyssey week.

Additionally, the second virtual edition of Science Chase will challenge motivated youth to complete STEAM challenges, learn about Canadian research, solve problems, and collect points to climb a national leaderboard.

AOLS and Rudy Mak Surveying Ltd. donated $2,000 as sponsors.

On May 7, several Ontario land surveyors from local firms Hopkins Chitty Land Surveyors, MTO, NDMNRF, Miller Surveying, and Surveyors on Site (Windsor) will be contributing resources and staff to speak with students, parents, grandparents, and others at the AOLS booth.

A virtual presentation is planned for May 14 in which students will work online to measure distances, turn angles, and locate mapped features using laser scan point clouds at Comerica Park in Detroit.

Once again, GeePs and Geo, the AOLS characters who promote "Get Kids into Survey," will be at Science Rendezvous in Kingston.
