Mentors Needed for AOLS Mentorship Program

Since AOLS announced the creation of its Mentorship Program in In Sight, we have had a good deal of interest from OLSs looking for mentorship. But to continue building this program, we need more mentors to meet demand.

Who can be a mentor?

Mentors can be any members who believe they have experience and knowledge to pass on to other members and have the time to do so. The amount of time required can be worked out with the mentee.

How do I get involved?

We've set up a Mentors’ Group on the AOLS Members' Portal: members.aols.org/splash/my-membership/mentorship-program.
Mentors can indicate their interest by filling out a simple application and a confidentiality agreement and sending both to memberservices@aols.org. The application will be posted to the Mentors’ Group and will be made accessible only to those members seeking a mentor.

AOLS will not match mentors with mentees. It is up to the mentee to contact the potential mentor to determine if there is a mutual fit.

Please consider this golden opportunity to share your knowledge, hone your teaching skills, and give back to your profession.
