Admission Requirements The basic requirements for admission are: Canadian citizenship or the status of permanent resident in Canada; minimum age of 18 years; compliance with the academic and experience requirements specified in the regulations; completion of the term of articles; successful completion of the professional examination; and, is of a good character. What Academic Education is Required? A detailed evaluation of academic and other qualifications will be made by the AERC, provided one of the following has been obtained: a University Degree; a four-year Technological Degree in Engineering or Survey Science; a three-year Technological Diploma in Survey Science; or, a professional survey licence. The AERC, after reviewing the candidates qualifications, will specify the extra credits or the examination programme which must be completed to satisfy the academic requirements.
